Alien War Returns To Glasgow

Something which has excited me a lot recently is the news that Alien War will be returning to Glasgow this summer!

Be sure to check it out when it open.

It's based around a "total reality" concept - the idea that you can 'live the movies' just like we have seen at many theme parks around the world such as Universal Studios in Florida, Hollywood and Japan.

In the original production, a group of participants were escorted on foot by armed Marines to view an "Alien Research Facility" which was an immersive dark set in the style of the films "Alien" and "Aliens". The Aliens would inevitably escape and menace, chase and sometimes even capture both the colonial marines and members of the public. The adult Aliens were realised by performers in suits and the facehugger creatures were animatronic effects.

I, myself, experience the "Alien War" phenomenon around Christmas 2000 when it was situated in the S.E.C.C. I remember really enjoying it, and admittedly the whole thing was very frightening.

The new 'experience' is set to be bigger and scarier than ever!
Who's all up for coming bug hunting with me?

You can check out their MySpace page as well here.
